This Privacy Policy explains how Pathlyte LLC ("Pathlyte," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with Storybook Season — our app, website, and related services (the "Service").
The short version: we collect the minimum we need to run a bedtime story service for families. We do not sell personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers.
Storybook Season is designed for parents and guardians. Accounts can only be created by adults, and any information about a child (a first name or nickname, an age range, a favorite team) is provided by the parent or guardian, who controls it. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, and the app contains no ads, no social features, no free-text chat, and no third-party tracking.
If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact us at support@storybookseason.com and we will delete it. Parents may review or delete their child's profile information at any time in the app, or by contacting us.
We do not sell or rent personal information, use it for third-party advertising, or use your family's information to train third-party AI models.
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, under agreements that limit their use of it:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety, or property of Pathlyte, our users, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case this policy will continue to apply to previously collected information until updated).
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may delete child profiles in the app at any time. To delete your account and associated personal information, contact support@storybookseason.com and we will process the request within 30 days, except for information we must retain by law.
Information is encrypted in transit, sign-in credentials are handled by dedicated authentication infrastructure, and session tokens on your device are stored in the operating system's secure keychain. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for minimal data and careful handling.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights by emailing support@storybookseason.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we honor deletion and access requests as described above.
The Service is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, in the app or by email). The effective date above always reflects the current version.
